ADULT ART CLASSES WITH CHARLES VIERA ARE SOLD OUT FOR BOTH SPRING SESSIONS.

Session dates are:

Session 1: 3/4-4/8 (Wednesdays) or 3/6-4/10 (Fridays)

Session 2: 4/22-5/27 (Wednesdays) or 4/24-5/29 (Fridays)

    At Home Fitness/Karate Class – Spring 2020 – MONDAYS 5:30-6:00 pm – FREE

    Looking for a way to get your body moving and shake some of that cabin fever? Join Carl Blanchard, first degree black belt from the studio of Isshinryu master Tom Lloyd, for a fun and satisfying half hour of karate-based exercise. Regardless of age, experience or fitness level, Carl will help you get your blood moving, increase your strength, help you become more flexible, and learn some karate basics. Make sure you have a clear and safe 10 foot square area to exercise in and wear comfortable clothing. Bring a bottle of water and a towel and get ready to kick it. Family groups encouraged! Monday and/or Wednesday 5:30-6pm.

    Virtual class will be offered via ZOOM on Mondays and Wednesdays. You must pre-register and there are only 10 spots available each class session.

    If you wish to participate both days please register on each day’s program link.

    Classes will be offered until the time when we are permitted to resume normal activities outside of the home.

    Instruction is suitable for ages 7+ and your family may participate together at home.

Regardless of age, experience or fitness level, Carl will help you get your blood moving, increase your strength, help you become more flexible, and learn some karate basics. Make sure you have a clear and safe 10 foot square area to exercise in and wear comfortable clothing. Bring a bottle of water and a towel and get ready to kick it. Steph will be joined by his son Dov Landau, a West Point Cadet and second degree black belt!

    Virtual class will be offered via Skype on Thursdays. You must pre-register and there are only 10 spots available (only one person from the household needs to register).

    Classes will be offered until the time when we are permitted to resume normal activities outside of the home.

    This class is for participants in High School, College and for adults and your family may participate together at home.

    Pickelball Level 1 (Spring ’20) Wednesdays 9:30 am

    Learn to play the fastest growing sport in the US! Pickelball is a combination of elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis.  It is played on a badminton-sized court with a perforated plastic ball, similar to a wiffle ball, and uses a wood or composite paddle.

    Level 1 introduces the fundamentals of Pickelball.  Each session includes 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of play. Learn fundamentals along with scoring, rules and game tactics.
    Low pressure, fun learning environment.
    Participants must bring their own paddle.

    Class is from 9:30-10:30 am at Pickell Park tennis courts.

    Pickelball Level 2 (Spring ’20) Wednesdays 11:30 am

    Ideal for intermediate players.  Each session will include 15 minute warm up and 45 minutes of match play.  Our experienced staff will be on hand to give coaching throughout.

    Participants must bring their own paddle.

    Class is from 11:30 am – 12;30 pm at Pickell Park tennis courts.

    Rutgers Safety Clinic NON-Readington Rec Coaches March 24th 2020

    The Rutgers Class is postponed until further notice.

    If you are coaching a Readington Rec sport you should register for the free class.

    Readington Baseball Coaches should sign up for the paid class as baseball is not a Readington Recreation program unless you also coach for a Rec sport.

    Class is Tuesday March 24th, 2020 from 6:30-9:30 pm at Readington Township Municipal Building.

    Open to all non-Readington Recreation coaches

    ** Please note there is a $25 cancellation fee for this class if cancelled before March 10th.  After March 10th there are no refunds. **

    Rutgers Safety Clinic Readington Rec Coaches March 24, 2020

    The Rutgers Class is postponed until further notice.

    This is not the registration link for RTJBL baseball coaches.

    Readington Baseball Coaches should sign up for the paid class  (this is a separate registration link) as baseball is not a Readington Recreation program.

    A requirement for ALL Readington Rec Coaches.

    Class is Tuesday March 24, 2020 from 6:30-9:30 pm at Readington Township Municipal Building.

    Open to all non-Readington Recreation coaches – please register for the program with the fee if you do not coach a Readington Recreation sport.

    For adult players at the beginner or intermediate level.  Tennis instruction include proper grips, footwork and conventional techniques for groundstrokes, net play and serves will be introduced., basic court positioning and how to keep the score.
